Working, gardening, walking, and taking short trips to visit my family. 3. Whats your favorite TV show? SVU 4. Who was your favorite teacher when you were in school? Mrs. Johnson 5. What's the thing that you're most excited about this year? Assisting North Dickinson to find a new Superintendent! We appreciate everything you do and continue to do for our school, Mary!

Meet Shad, our newest Social Studies Teacher! 👨🏼‍🏫🍎📚 1. Where are you from? I'm from Foster City, MI. 2. What are your hobbies? My hobbies are hunting, fishing, spending time with my family. 3. Whats your favorite TV show? Alone 4. Who was your favorite teacher when you were a Nordic? My favorite teacher was Mr. Faust he taught my favorite classes. 5. What's the thing that you're most excited about this year? The thing I'm most excited about is seeing all of the students and getting to work! We are excited to have you on our team, Shad!

Meet Jeanne, our newest Second Grade Teacher! 👩‍🏫🍎📝 1. Where are you from? I was born and raised here, and graduated from North Dickinson. 2. What are your hobbies? I like to garden and spend time at the lake kayaking and jet skiing. 3. Whats your favorite TV show? As for my favorite TV show, I really don’t watch too much in the way of a show nor do I follow sports. However, I love watching a good natural disaster movie. 4. Who was your favorite teacher when you were a Nordic? My favorite teacher was Mr. Rittenhouse. He developed an amazing program at ND. When I listen to the theme song for Jurassic Park and Robin Hood, I am still amazed that that we could play them and played them well. Mr. Rittenhouse, thank you for pushing us to excel beyond what we thought we were capable of and guiding us to pass those expectations. 5. What's the thing that you're most excited about this year? There are so many things to be excited about this coming year! This is my first year teaching an elementary class and I am excited (and to be honest, a little nervous too) to teach second grade. I love science and I hope to inspire our young scientists at ND! I am looking forward to being back at ND. We are excited to have you on our team, Jeanne!

Our Varsity Girls Volleyball team played in the annual Husky Summer Showdown along with other UP schools, including Forest Park, Kingsford, Calumet, Dollar Bay, Hancock, Houghton, Negaunee, Lake Linden, and Jeffers! Go Nordics! 🏐

Our Varsity boys went undefeated (10-0) and won the Carney/Bark River basketball tournament this week! Congratulations, boys!
