D.E.A.R.---Drop Everything And Read!
Students in 10th and 11th grades have started Mrs. Lindholm's D.E.A.R. program. Every Friday we drop everything and read for that hour. Students also have a D.E.A.R. binder that keeps track of:
Comprehension Test Scores for Fall, Winter and Spring (MAZE TEST)
Personal Reading Surveys
D.E.A.R. Response Sheets
Recording Books Read
Journal Responses
Recording Books We Want to Read
Students started reading the 1st of September, as of December 25th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders have read over 500 books. The great thing about this, there are 95 students in the three grades. How AWESOME is that!!!
